Welcome, just a little background here. My name is Dave Kjendal, I am the founder and owner of Dark Harbor Ventures.  I currently live in the greater Boston area (actually just north of the border in New Hampshire) with my family – home to great sports teams, classic seaside communities and rugged mountains (the last just a few hours north) – and also home of a thriving technology scene.

I’m a senior technology executive with over 18 years of experience in high-tech portfolio management and complex product development. Over that time, I’ve successfully led large multi-site teams in the delivery of dozens of leading-edge LAN/WLAN product lines, including in-house hardware, ASIC, embedded and application software solutions as well as ODM and OEM products. I find that with thoughtful strategy, timely delivery and broad cross-functional coordination new business opportunities can be discovered and exploited to their fullest.

In the past I’ve been an SVP/GM and acting CTO and started off my career in embedded systems software development. I’m comfortable discussing technology and business in large public forums as well as diving into the technical details with small groups.

Currently my technology passions are split between the disruptions being brought to market with Software Defined Networking and NFV technologies and the radical transformation of infrastructure of all kinds fueled by the Internet of Things.
